Let's Eat!
Luccas has taken temporary residence at 511 Lancaster Street in Leominster to serve up delicious dishes and excellent customer service while our new home is being built.
It all started with a trip to Lucca Italy in June of 2012 that inspired the "Dream Team", John and Jodi Davick, to start Luccas. After years in the restaurant industry the two finally had a place to call their own.
Fast forward to November of 2017, Luccas American Kitchen officially opened its doors at 428 Lancaster Street in Leominster, MA; the same building that formerly housed the Gondola Restaurant for 58 years. The quiet opening allowed word-of-mouth advertising to steadily build our reputation of fresh, scratch-made items and excellent customer service.
After years of hard work and success the unimaginable happened. On July 17, 2021 fire broke-out in the attic and duct work of Luccas, damaging the structure of the building to the point that ceilings were removed throughout and a complete rebuild would be necessary. Although the fire was crushing and changed the course of Luccas, we’re thankful every day that there were no injuries.
John and Jodi saw an opportunity after the fire and pivoted to operating the food truck they had been previously using as a mobile kitchen during catering events; nothing was going to stop them. The food truck hit the road, making its way to as many private and public events as possible so that everyone could get their Luccas fix.
This journey has brought the “Dream Team” to open a temporary home for Luccas walking distance from the original location as we work to rebuild a new and improved Luccas American Kitchen that we can’t wait to share with all of you!
